It is already possible, actually.
Since it cannot be predicted what all of the layout demands would be, the
alternative provided is to use the lower level Table components instead, and
implement whatever layout is needed. It is possible to have multiple locations
of the page navigation, for example. Please write to user mailing list for
details instead
