Currently, generated markup for empty tags doesn't include a space before the
closing slash.
That is, the generated markup is "<span/>" while it ought to be "<span />".
This is a possible backwards-compatibility issue with some browsers and can
easily be fixed with a minor change to the MarkupWriterImpl class's closeTag
method.
