Hi folks,

just thought I would bring this up for discussion
since JBuilder is currently probably the most popular
and extensible Java IDE out there.

A Spindle plug-in for JBuilder could be a significant
catalyst for further Tapestry
usage/implementations/acceptance.

The reason I put forward this suggestion is that (as
MS has proven time and time again) it's not always the
best ideas that win but how easy they are to adopt and
marketed.

As one of the newer users of Tapestry, one of few the
tedious chores I can whine about in the building of
new pages is the addition of components. One has to
update the specification then update the template and
so on, back and forth for each page.

The chances for syntax and other related errors is
great.

I have tried Spindle for Eclipse and it eases this
burden greatly. However I do not see anyone switching
from their favourite IDE to Eclipse - just to use
Spindle (no offence to Spindle), it's just that, as an
IDE, Eclipse is just not full featured enough IMHO.

A version of Spindle for JBuilder could give Tapestry
more "bang for the buck".

In closing, I hope this will be taken as constructive
suggestion/criticism.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Stav.
