Hi Norbi,

This question seems to come up often enough, and the problem is that the majority of the developers using Tapestry currently are actually using it for Intranet applications, which are not really "viewable" by external people.

If this carries any weight, divisions at both Deutsche Bank and Citigroup use intranet apps of ours developed using Tapestry. They don't actually know or care that the apps were developed with Tapestry, they care that the functionality works, works well, and saves them a lot of time and money in the process.

The benefit really is on our side, since we are now capable of providing solutions with gradually increasing complexity quickly and easily and be quite certain that they have a much lower number of bugs than usual. The productivity improvement that comes after using the framework for a while is not even something that needs to be mentioned, I guess.

Fortunately, it seems that we will soon get a contract for work on a public site that I presume can be used as an example and a showcase of the type you are looking for (Ob knock on wood, of course). I would certainly not be shy to show it :).

In the mean time, I guess the example applications coming with Tapestry (e.g. Vlib) and the "Pet Shop" app that was mentioned only yesterday on the list may help a bit. I hope other people can come forward with something more public as well.

I hope this is at least somewhat helpful!

Best regards,

- mb
