I haven't used this myself but my college uses it everywhere. Use header and footer Block components in your border component. Then have RenderBlock provide the actual content.
See the tutorial portal example for a demonstration.

Subject: [Tapestry-developer] Fancier Border Example
Date: Wed, 19 Feb 2003 14:33:06 -0600
We have a header, body, and footer on our site. However, we want the header
to change on certain pages (using a conditional).
I looked at Border example, but we want to keep the header in a separate
file from the template (or "Border.html" file). Do I need to make the header
a component, or how do I keep the html out of the "Border.html" file for
both the Header and Footer?
I just want to do the equivalent of a JSP include, but its not clear how to
do this. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Joel
