I am developing a time reporting tool in Tapestry/Hibernate.
In the tool i would like to generate printable reports in PDF-format and have an idea that I could use the Tapestry engine to generate the XML (used as middle format before transforming to iText-XML and then converted to PDF by iText) just like I can get a HTML-page to the browser.
I would then construct a Tapestry-page with page-specification and a XML-template used by the page and would like to be able to generate this "page" but get output to a stream or file instead of as a reply to a HTTP-request.
Anyone have any good insight on how this can be done ?
Thankful f�r any hints that at least can throw me in the correct direction.....
