Bear with my stupid questions...I'm currently using StringValidator to validate user input and display error messages. Beyond that, what I need to do is to validate the user input against a database ( for user account creation ). So, for example if the username already exists I want to display this on the page. Is this the correct way to go about things (i.e. extend BaseValidator?)
