To be exact: it is the output folder of the project, but eclipse will
automagically move it there when it compiles the project (you might have
to "refresh"). If you are not working with eclipse then it depends on the
folder structure of you project.

Read the message. /hibernate.cfg.xml means that that it cannot be found in
the root directory of your classpath. Put it there and it should work ...
If you are on eclipse this is usually the "src" folder.

I also copied the jars from Hibernate21/lib to tomcat shared/lib
I now also get
/hibernate.cfg.xml not found
Where should this file reside?
