You could also bypass the build steps by manually downloading the dependencies.

I know I am supposed to set up my proxy according to the instructions provided in ext-dist/README.html, which unfortunately is missing, and seems to be missing in the 3.0.2 and 3.0.1 distributions as well.
I also know there was a post back in Oct 2004 asking the same question, with an answer that did not in fact show how to set up the proxy.
Can anyone tell me how to set up the proxy, or point to where the ext-dist/README.html exists?
