That one cost us a couple of hours one evening as well.  If you are
trying to create your own form components using composition (they
contain tapestry form components but aren't themselves form
components) auto is your friend for output parameters.  I would like
to see a better treatment of component development and parameters than
what is in the Tapestry book.

We have also had trouble with composite components with error message
presentation - some of the tapestry infrastructure wants things that
have errors associated with them to be form components themselves.

Overall though, we are very pleased so far with the component model
provided by tapestry.
