So, I found ThreadNotifier in the framework hivemodule.xml

If I inject that into my service, and call fireThreadCleanup() form the
thread in question, I think that does the same thing as getting the
registry.

Can anybody validate this?

What I really have here is a case where a service is a monitor and starter
type service. It is responsible for starting background processes on
separate threads. When those thread finish, they need to clean up because
the are using pooled and threaded service model Hivemind services. What I
really want is to inject the registry that created the service into the
service, or I need to inject something else that I can tell that I'm done
with a thread so clean me up.

I'm running my own threads for background processing inside of a Tapestry
4.0 application. I need to access the registry so I can call
cleanupThread(). What is the best way to do that?
