To address two common issues with Tapestry, I've created a new Tapestry Quick Start.
http://jakarta.apache.org/tapestry/QuickStart/index.html This is a getting-started guide to Tapestry. So far, it discusses very basic things, like "Hello World" and using the DirectLink component. In addition, there's a new archive for the Quick Start examples that includes the Tapestry libraries AND DEPENDENCIES. http://howardlewisship.com/downloads/quick-start/ Because this file is not served off of apache.org, it can contain non-apache libraries such as OGNL and Javassist. In addition, the helloworld example is a good template for building your own applications, including basic Ant build support. -- Howard M.
