No problem ...

What I have is a page (A) that displays the characteristics of a handheld
device. It also shows a link that should pop a new window (B) up and display
a list of all the regions that this device can be authorized in. Page A
holds a text field with a string value (country code) in it. In page B I
need to retrieve the country code from A's text field.

Yeah, you could probably do something like that.
