Ok, long story for a simple question. I am a Sheriff at
Javaranch.com<http://Javaranch.com>.
Since mid 2003 we have been trying to replace our Perl based UBB software
with something running on J2EE. From day 1 I've urged the rest involved to
roll our own from scratch. We've tried modifying other solutions such as
Jive and most recently (over a year now) mvnForums. While we've had success
with mvnForums there have been issues with regards to performance, mvn's
project direction and many other things. I recently started new conversation
urging the others involved to, once again, just start from scratch and make
our own software. Javaranch has some pretty specific needs in our forum
software that we would like to have. I've once again been met with a brick
wall.

So, I've decided that I will just take it upon myself to create our forum
software. And in the end if Javaranch doesn't want it, I'll open source it
and let the community at it. I've made the decision to use tapestry and
specifically version 4.0. Since this is a brand new project with no code to
port I figured why not. It will also let me help everyone test 4.0. Plus,
once I get it done and if it is adoption by Javaranch, Tapestry will be able
to add another rather significant testimony to it's success, which I think
is good.

Also, I thought I'd take this opportunity to try out Eclipse 3.1 with WTP.
Small test runs doing plain non-framework J2EE seem to be stable enough to
commit to it for a project. And this, finally, brings me to my question.
Since I am not using Spindle (as I am shooting for Tapestry4) I need to tell
Eclipse that my .page files are the same as XML files. This is easy in IDEA.
But I can't figure out how in Eclipse. Can someone shed some light on this?

Also, Geoff, if you are reading this, if you have started work on Spindle
for Tapestry 4.0 and need an able bodied tester, I'd love to get my hands on
it. Would solve this problem very easily for me. ;)

Thanks.
