As I understand it, there is no native Tapestry TImeZone support due to the fact that varying browsers may or may not support the HTTP headers indicative of the user's TimeZone. I ended up adding a TimeZone dropdown for users to add to their profiles in order to be precise and bypass the browser/servlet container compatibility issues.
