I would work through Kent's Tutorials.  He starts you out from scratch
and you create working Tapestry applications, fairly quickly.  Once you
have them created and working you can use spindle as a tool for which it
was intended.  It seems your issue is getting going creating tapestry
apps.

I, for one, started with a working app and added additional stuff via
Spindle.

I personal don't see a problem with answering your
question.  Many ...many developers use spindle eclipse
plugin.  Its just good and best to help.  However to
point you to a better source of info try these links. 
You can find how to and forums for spindle. You might
fair better in obtaining help.
