Yeah HiveLock is a great project from Jean Francois, its part of HiveUtils (Transaction, Remoting, Security) with Hivemind. It's an awesome project, I've even contributed with my 2 cents (The AnnotationSessionFactoryBuilderImpl) which I sent to Jean few months ago. I'm designing (don't know when) a HiveMoM (for JMS purposes). I have a full workin project using only hivemind and hiveutils and no spring at all. But for this project I have in mind, Spring plays an important role ;). I sent a message about LinkComponents design, I hope someone answers ;P
