Does anyone know of any kind of W3C or ISO standard for how to
label required fields? Historically, I've usually tacked an asterix to the
label name e.g.:
Required*: [ ]
Normal: [ ]
Which is at least nominally 508 compliant (while color coding
would not be). What kind of approaches are other people using? Equally
importantly, does anybody know of a UI design standard rule on this sort of
thing?
