Why don't you implement a service or even a page that executes a reset
and protect that page via your existing protection mechanisms (put it in
the admin-scope)?
As far as I see the only the the reset service does is
_resetEventCoordinator.fireResetEvent();
And I suppose you can inject the resetCoordinator into your page/service
via hivemind.
