you can probably follow this idea for injection of services in your page definitions...

Sorry can't be more specific, but new to this also and, I'd like to know how as well. Try and have a look at the tapestry examples, or some of the literature like Enjoy Web Development with Tapestry, which does cover hivemind somewhat. I'm sure it's very simple, when you know how!
