The first release candidate for Tapestry 4.0 is now available. Tapestry is a component based web application framework that provides lots of functionality with minimal Java coding, and creates an environment that supports high levels of reuse.
This release fixes a number of minor bugs and a major bug that caused Tapestry to be unusable in portlets. Documentation was improved, and a new section of documentation for Tapestry JavaScript templates was added. In addition, a few last-minute features were slipped in: the default binding prefix can now be set (overriding the default, "ognl") and the stategy used by Tapestry to localizes assets and resources is now pluggable and extendable. A full listing of bug fixes is available in the change log. Tapestry is provided as a combined binary/source distribution, and a separate documentation distribution.
