We managed to make it work, but we don't know if this is the recommened way of doing this. Is it?
We moved the initialization of the list from pageBeginRender(..) into finishLoad(...). After doing tapestry for a week now, my impression is that this is an absolutely brilliant way of doing things, seriously hampered by the atrocious state of the documentation.
