Hello.

I am developing a Tapestry application that has a very straightforward Home
page, http://www.jobstoday.nl. With the aid of the RedirectFilter all
incoming requests are redirected to '/app'. Most of the times, the Home page
opens fine. However, on a very rare occasion, IE under Windows launches
Acrobat Reader without document. Just an empty Acrobat Reader application.
Except for a screenshot I have no further details. The screenshot shows IE
with Google's Toolbar, so it has to be IE version 5.5 or higher. And Acrobat
Reader seems rather ancient. Not very helpful. The screenshot was sent by a
unsatisfied user with some comments but none of them very helpful. I find
this very strange. What mechanism is used by IE, what triggers IE, to launch
a PDF viewer? Is it the doctype? Or the content-type? Or the fact that the
Home page contains a form with a https action? Or am I overlooking
something?

Has anyone seen this weird behaviour before? For the record, I am using
Tapestry 3.0.3.

Regards,
Marcel
