Dear all, We have a draft in tsvwg to discuss the problem that traditional TCP is not flexible enough to deal with some scenarios, e.g., different use cases may need different congestion control algorithms, or TCP parameters. We think that making TCP more open may facilitate those applications who use TCP but want detailed control. This draft is not intent to conflict with TAPS. Applications could have different requirements: Some may want simple and easy transport services, while others may want customized solution. Moreover, traditional TCP may not fully meet the requirement of TAPS. Making TCP more open may potentially be favorable for the usage under TAPS. Currently, we start the discussion only with problems as we want to get feedback from other people. We hope that experts in TAPS could review and comments this draft. Thanks.
