Hi, I want to include some real-world application backups in my Tarsnap book. Given a couple good examples, I figure users can extrapolate their own backup scenarios.
I have one good example, my Wordpress sites. Fairly simple, but definitely a real-world database-driven application. But I'm looking for a second interesting example. And am stumped. Most of the software I've worked with are database-driven web apps. So I'm reaching out to the community. Do you have an interesting Tarsnap backup that's not a db-driven web app? What do you have to do to back it up? Ideally I'd like something I can realistically reproduce in my lab, so that I can write from firsthand knowledge. I'd ask Colin but, well, he has no clue what you're backing up. ;-) Thanks for any ideas! And Happy New Year. ==ml -- Michael W.
