I have been listening to this track in the Bear Family 1959-1969 set, and it is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Call me crazy, but there is a section of the second (mandolin) part that faintly brings Buddy Holly to mind. It has a feel that is similar to the way Buddy vocally approached the more openly country-influenced stuff he did.
Anyway, my real question is if anyone has played around with this tune.
