Any way I could maybe marry into the family or something and get me a
D28?
Hahahaha
Now, you may find this hard to believe, but I have been fooling with
guitars for about
30 years at least and JUST TONIGHT I played a Martin for the first
time! Can you imagine?
How sheltered of a life is that? Well,it was a beauty, too, a friend's
D-41 which is like mint even though
he's had it for about 5 years. I want one! At the jam tonight, I
offered to let him play my new mando,
but part of the deal was I got to play his guitar...OK, time for more
true confessions: I play Rock music, too,
and I have only played a real Fender USA Strat on two occasions -
once about 20 years ago and once very recently
(I want one of those, too!). More of a Tele guy. And I have NEVER
played a real Gibson Les Paul, even though the
picker in my Rock band has TWO of them! He doesn't offer them up to
the drummer (me), but probably would if I asked.
Although I admire some players who have used them, Pauls for some
reason don't move me on their own. Maybe that
would change if I had a hold of one for a weekend...
