I worked on two Scottdale String Band tunes today, Carbolic Rag and
Japanese Breakdown. They are definitely works in progress but it felt
good to get all of those notes out on a rainy morning. I really like
listening to Carbolic Rag for its non-note-y-ness, but I don't feel I
have a handle on the rhythm. Anybody else play any Scottdale SB
tunes? I only have three songs by them, these two and Waiting For the
Robert E. Lee, which I feel sort of unpatriotic playing up here in
Northern New Jersey 80 miles north of the Mason-Dixon line. Are there
any collections out there with more of their output? Do they do
Scottdale Stomp? I have Walker's Corbin Ramblers playing it, but not
the SSB.

Anyway, here are links to my feebleness!
