You know... it is interesting the left hand was mentioned... I just got done watching this and I thought the same thing. From meeting Tater in person last february and seeing the videos of he and Roland standing next to each other it makes me curious how big a boy Roland is. 5'1" or 2" he must have a small hand to match. This would put me a foot + over Roland and my hands are pretty long to boot. I have had several people ask me how I get around on that little guitar... I just tell em I don't yet. Last year I got the chance to go to the Mandolin symposium... I got to see two very different hands in action. Mike Marshall's hands are out of control huge and it is clear why he and the mandocello are such a good fit. Then there was herschel Sizemore teeny-tiny hands, I have never seen a pinky finger used more. Both got around real good to say the least. After this experience I realized I had no excuses, dern it all! Herschel made a comment on efficiency and how he figured out long ago that he had to keep his self in different positions for making a tune work due to the size of his hands.
