I'm pretty sure I got that job back in '78 when I was still playing "music that people might actually like and pay you for" and threw my hat in the Bluegrass ring. The onliest difference was this job paid pretty good, but the treatment was the same. Now I would hate it to get out, but I used to do a pretty good Elvis back in those days and the Bride knew this. She wanted me to sing "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" for the wedding. Well, that is the worst song in the world, I'm pretty sure, and I just said NO! Turns out I can be bought, as she doubled our pay if we would do that song, so I started to like it better. (We all have our price, mine was $2,000 in '78). We still had to eat with the help.
