Good stuff in the discussions lately. Thanks for that. I wish more people would come out of lurk mode and get involved. Maybe there is something we can do about that. It is very obvious that there are topics that make our blood boil on any given day and it has already been established that there are no rules on what we can talk about here. It's an open forum with no referees. I think this is needed, so it stays. But I'd like to bring something to our attention if I may.
I was talking to a fellow the other day about many things mando- related. During the course of our conversation the Taterbugmando group was brought up. After a little discussion he casually said that our group has become known on the internet as the "Skaggs Hate" group. Now, that seems a bit harsh to me especially considering that over the course of working the topics through there seems to general agreement among all our intelligent and well-spoken members that we all should do whatever we want to do, live and let live, stick to the subject (just for you, Terry), etc. To sound terribly nonchalant, I say...whatever. I am the first one to say that I don't usually make efforts to sugar coat my comments, but I do make efforts to be factual and fair even when I feel less than gracious about something. I say this so that there will be no misunderstanding regarding what I'm saying. Granted, I'm liable to go off on a rant about nothing some days and just stay out of it altogether on others, moreso the latter of late. I am happy that you all feel you can speak your minds freely, but at the same time keep in mind that our presence on the internet has developed a public image. Is it the one we want?
