I either learn a new tune by picking it out from a record, or play all the
stuff I've already picked out. I have no patience with scales and arpeggios
and stuff like that. I just want to play- to make music. Some will say
that's not practicing- they may be right. I'd probably be better at
improvising if I did those things...
