On the good mandolin player theme...... I got to see Karl Shiflett last Friday in TN. He wasnt' carrying David Long but Rosco Morgan was filling in. Now that boy can play!
He's very monroe-esq and is very good. I spoke to him for a minute, he has about 50 students and does that full time. He's very powerfull and has some great licks. I was able to record the show with my zoomH2 so now I have a lot of work to do. BTW, Rosco was only filling in for the weekend. We didn't discuss D. Long but I would have loved to see him and although I was disapointed in not seeing david Rosco was a pleasant suprise. malagrass On Nov 22, 6:00 pm, [email protected] wrote: > I had already pre-judged this show, John is in my top 5 mandolin pickers > anywhere. > > I hate top five/ten lists, but if I had to pick one or five. > 1.
