Thanks fellas...yes I do believe that is a technical mandolin term! I've been on guitar flat picking kick lately so I've been neglecting that Gilchrist...it's been dormant for a few weeks. There was a big discussion about about whether instruments "open up' after a time on the Mandolin Cafe. I'm a firm believer that they do and that Gilchrist has changed since I first got it. I also believe they got to sleep even after just a little while. After a three hour gig that thing screams!
I was banging on that for about 1/2 hour yesterday before I recorded it. I probably should have waited a little longer but I got a reasonably good take. Anybody else get a case of the clams when trying to record YouTubes ? I tried laying down Red Haired Boy on guitar yesterday morn but after about 20 attempts I gave up and broke out the Gil. p.s. If it told you i was wearing the nose and glasses would you believe me? On Jun 11, 1:34 am, "M.
