Cow Dude,
No problems from the Calton, but then, I'm carrying it on board. The
other travel case I have is a road case made of birch plywood and a
lot of foam inside with extruded aluminum seams and corners. They'd
really have to work to tear that up. The Calton takes a little bit of
a beating, but it won't do when it comes to 'shor'nuff' baggage
handlers. One of EC's guitars got smashed, the electric Gibson tenor.
It took a pretty hard hit and caved the top. Crying damned shame, but
it's glued up and working again. Seems like everybody else's stuff is
fine. We've all pared down what we brought to minimize airline
incidents. Anyway, currently we're on a bus.
