I wonder how he is gonna handle choosing a mandolin player for this? I'd imagine that theres a pick of mando-folks would be itching and bitching to tie their playing to the Monroe legacy, while others still may see it as a bit too daunting a mantle to take? Perhaps, the best, that is most politic, way would be to use archive recording materials, but that don't seem the T-Bone way... Strangely, i'd like it if they composed new incidental-athmosphere musics in some of Monroe's voicings, i thinking more of the blues/ gospel flavour than the to be expected hard-kicking bluegrass numbers.
