The myGrid team is proud to announce that Taverna workbench 2.1 beta 2
has been released today, 2009-07-03.
Taverna 2.1 beta 2 brings about many improvements to the workflow
engine and the workbench user interface. If you are used to Taverna
1.7, and even if you have tried Taverna 2.0, you are bound to notice
the difference. Here are a few of the new features:
* More screen estate, zooming and scrolling in diagram
* Service panel easier to use, remembers added/removed services
* Intermediate values during iterations and workflow runs
* Improved workflow engine that can handle larger data
* Workflow explorer handles editing of larger workflows
* Drag and drop creation of links and right-clicks in the workflow diagram
* Run dialogue supports examples and remembers last used values
* Service failures shown in result view, but a partial failure
does not break the iteration like in Taverna 1
* Improved Windows installation

PS! The previously mentioned SourceForge problems seems to have
settled at the time of this release, but if you spot a '500 Server
error' from SourceForge, please try the Reload button. If anything
else fails, let us know, and we'll provide a backup URL and update the
download pages.
