It would be more "magic" if it went and found the image of the protein automatically ;-)

I think mime magic is matching the start of the string, P6, and deciding that the mime type is image/x-portable-pixmap. Other UniProt IDs that don't start with P[1-6] are rendered correctly as text. I've attached a workflow that demonstrates the problem.
