Hi,

I presume you are talking about the fact that your new service type is now showing under "Import new services" in Service Panel?

If this is the case - looks like you may have changed the service provider plugin class or package name and the SPI cannot find the new class. Make sure that you have a file named net.sf.taverna.t2.servicedescriptions.ServiceDescriptionProvider in META-INF/services folder under resources in your bundle and that the file contains the line with the full name of your class. For example a line like this:

net.sf.taverna.t2.activities.wsdl.servicedescriptions.WSDLServiceProvider

Regards,
Alex

I have changed the plugin and when I restart the workbench the plugin is no longer there. THere are no compile errors and as far as I can see have I not changed any relevant code.

Hello together,
Hello,

I am creating a plugin for Taverna 2.1.2 and I am using the example from http://www.mygrid.org.uk/dev/wiki/display/developer/Creating+plugins+for+Taverna+2 as template. While developing the plugin it surprisedly disappaers and is no more visible in the test workbench. Does anyone have an idea which is the reason for this behaviour?
Can you be more specific as to when it "disappears"?

Do you mean it disappears when you are running the workbench, or that you make a change to the plugin and when you restart the workbench the plugin is no longer there?

Reagards,
