Hi all! I would like to suggest an agenda for the meeting (Tuesday 17th May from 1300-1500 UTC).
The goal of the meeting is to make sure we don't duplicate any effort (or minimise it as much as possible). Ideally, what I would like to have at the end of the meeting is a draft design/architecture that can accommodate most of the requirements of the groups involved. Overview ------------- * Brief Introductions (name/group) * Each group provide example use cases (behavioural requirements) - this is the 'what we want' part - I can start first with a simple scenario that we have * Each group talk about potential SW components they think they will need (functional requirements) - maybe they exist, maybe we need to build them - some people may even have designs already (that would be great) * Quality of Service (non-functional requirements) - security, efficiency, ... * Discussion - brainstorming on potential architectural designs to deal with the above - modularity is important and will help distribute the effort between groups - I expect that enhancing existing components would be a big part (client libs, taverna server, etc.) * Conclusions - agreed actions Please note that the above is not intended to be formal. They will probably overlap but this is a rough overview. Any suggestions are welcome. Could you please forward this email to people you know will attend the meeting and are not in the above lists? Cheers, Kostas PS. I hope the meeting room has a whiteboard.. we will probably need to draw stuff :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Achieve unprecedented app performance and reliability What every C/C++ and Fortran developer should know.
