The issues I know of can be broken down into four main areas:

1) Limitations caused by the version of Axis

a) How/if to deal with the WSDLs that can be generated. The current
service has limitations, such as not dealing with "any" and same-named
objects. Should we try to change to a different underlying system? If
so, what?

b) Support for MTOM.

c) Support for uploading of attachments.

2) Handling of more semantic information

a) Support for SAWSDL

b) Additional benefit of semantics on other parts of Taverna?

3) XML splitters

a) They are not user-friendly and something much better could/should be
done.

b) Does this problem go away with components?

4) Streaming

a) It is possible to "intercept" the incoming message so that not all of
it is read into Taverna in one go. This was done for Taverna 1. A
similar concept could be re-introduced for Taverna 3.

The skype chat will probably be more of a "brainstorming session". Are
there any other major issues? What solutions could be found? Who is
interested in working on those areas.

Any feedback is more than welcome.
