It is very similar if not identical.

The best thing to look at is the archetype for new types of activities -

You could create a new type of activity that when invoked actually 
invokes the dataflow.

There is currently a 0.1.1 prototype plugin that allows you to use as 
components any workflows on myExperiment that are in packs tagged with 
"component family".

David Withers is preparing a draft of the format that will define what 
components in a component family have in common.

I recently (two days ago) gave a talk to the BioVeL project about the 
current component proposal. I will attach it to the wiki on Monday.
