Why not enhance the address book with a language selection? I don't want to create templates for every single contact. You might argue 'What about multiple recipients with different languages selected?' Well, that also applies to multiple recipients with different templates - one (the first?) overrides the others. Alternatively, there could also be a per account/folder/group setting - but not just template macros. Also, apparently the macro doesn't work temporarily. The next message created will have the same language as the previous one. This would also call for something like a default setting (if you insist on macros you might at least do something similar to %ODATE and %ODATEEN). I often have to switch between English and German and %LANGUAGE is already a good idea but it still leaves a lot open.
