Why not? The correct date *might* be deceisive in business, but it's of no or 
lower priority when dealing with the home PC. OTOH, the bugs that result in 
dataloss *are* of highest possible priority!

BTW, who told you his PC or his OS can't keep the date? He might have 
some application installed there that works erratically with Y2K dates, which 
might have forced him to turn the system clock back.

In short, what's your business anyway? Have you something more to argue 
against in his message?
