I know that, Steve - alas why don't they offer the freedom of chosing
an address range of my favour. I would have to change my address range
e.g. - and that's additional work. I've set up lots of private LANs
using other address ranges than 192.168.0.0. You probably know that
there are lots of address ranges for private (internal) use.
( 10. 0.0.0 -> 10.255.255.255
172. 16.0.0 -> 172.031.255.255
192.168.0.0 -> 192.168.255.255)
So why forced to 192.168.0.1?
