Hello all,
I am running Windows 98SE, and I was using a different Windows
profile than normal. I haven't logged into this profile since
upgrading to the 1.42 betas. When I ran TB, I got the conversion
wizard. I didn't think about it, and I let the conversion run.
What happens is messages are *added* to the new message bases. So I
didn't lose any information. However, I had almost 4000 duplicate
messages. Using the Kill Duplicates in all folders solved the
problem very nicely. When the final release comes out, maybe there
should be a notification of this potential annoyance.
Fortunately data will *not* be lost. And the solution is very easy.
Could TB put the key, that tells it that the message bases have been
converted, in a universal part of the registry? Right now it seems
to be in the Current_Users section. Can anyone think of a setup
where this would cause problems?
