To the best of my knowledge, Opera gets the information included in the
field you mention, from the URL: Mailto Protocol found in the Explorer
settings. What I don't understand, is how you were able to qualify that
command line, because I continue to get error messages, saying it's not
a valid filename or path, and refuses to accept it.
One of Opera's bugs, is that it will not allow you to choose how Opera
handles E-Mail through the Preferences menu, making you go into the
Opera.ini file and change the value of "Handler=" under the [Mail]
section... 1 is Opera Account; 2 is Use External Client; and 3 is Use
System Default. I can change mine to 2, but I just can't get Explorer to
accept the command line argument that you have. With my current command
line of "C:\PROGRAM FILES\THE BAT!\THEBAT.EXE" mailto:"%1", TB! will
create a message _addressed_ as
"mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
when I click on the link I pointed out on the following page:
http://www.rimarts.co.jp/b2-public-beta.html
and of course the subject line is still blank. I don't know... This
erratic behaviour seems to be a hallmark of Opera, or at the very least
my install of Opera 4.0.
