Yes you are using the same Bat. No, you are not using the same message
source.  Any  messages  with References headers which do *not* include
the  *entire*  thread  ID  chain  (such  as  TB pre v1.42) will behave
exactly  as  Steve  describes. The threading remains as a vestige when
there is a complete reference chain to work from.
