The level of address book documentation is horrifying isn't it? :-)) It
seems to approach zero.

What I've done so far after learning the hard way <g> is to undo the
LDAP Server association option in my address books that contain
addresses, to prevent the mishap that I had.

I do share your query Ming. It seems as if you can only search local
addresses with the quick search facility provided on the toolbar but
this will only search what is being displayed. :-(
