I have also noted a bug, very similar to yours. When you have a
filter, that redirects a mail to another folder (instead of placing
the incoming mail in INBOX), and you checked the action "mark the
message as read" in this filter, the counter of unread messages in
INBOX bugs. It decreases by one for each message that is redirected
and marked as read. You have to select the INBOX folder each time to
refresh the counter and get the real number of unread messages in
INBOX.
Hum, I am not sure I have been really clear, so just ask if you do not
understand.
